Transition to the New Global ACI Accreditation Mark

29 Apr 2026Accreditations and authorizations

What is changing?

As part of this transition, the existing IAF MLA and ILAC MRA marks will gradually be replaced by the new Global ACI Accreditation Mark.
Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated (Global ACI) was officially introduced in April 2026, bringing together the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) under one unified global organisation.
What does this mean for clients?
  • Existing certifications remain fully valid
  • Clients may begin seeing updated accreditation marks on certificates and reports
  • There is no change to audit, testing, or certification requirements

During the transition period

DEKRA will continue using the current IAF and ILAC marks alongside the new Global ACI mark in accordance with international transition guidelines.

Why this change matters

The introduction of a single global accreditation mark supports greater consistency, reduces confusion, and strengthens confidence in accredited certification systems worldwide.
